On Tuesday, January 31, 2023, the seventh English reading competition of the European Schools in Essen took place at MWG. The seventh grade school winners of all member schools not only had to present their well-chosen books, but also had to face the challenge of reading an unknown text in front of a large audience. All participants demonstrated their excellent reading skills and took the audience on a literary journey, making it very difficult for the jury to determine the winner. The reading competition was completed by energetic performances of the school band and the hip hop group of the MWG as well as by students of the GEÜ.
It was a pleasure to host the competition and we are already looking forward to next year.
